Fighting for Prosperity
Outside of military service, I’ve spent my entire professional life in business creating high-paying Maryland jobs. Over thirty years as an entrepreneur, I have started companies that pioneered innovations in technology, real estate and development throughout Anne Arundel and Prince George’s County. The latest real estate brokerage I started provides nearly 600 Marylanders with higher-than-average annual incomes.
My success in business is the direct result of hard work ethic and unquestionable determination that makes Maryland a national leader in business and economics.
In the coming years, our nation’s job market is going to be disrupted by changes due to technology, automation and globalism. When Washington’s out-of-touch politicians have never created a single job in their career, they will be unable to work towards creative solutions to protect Maryland families in tomorrow’s economy. I’ll fight to not only protect the quality of life we enjoy, but also assure millennials and future generations have a path to be financially prosperous.
"Washington’s out-of-touch politicians have never created a single job in their career, they will be unable to work towards creative solutions to protect Maryland families in tomorrow’s economy."
By making investments in science and technology education at community colleges and public universities, we can provide everyone – regardless of age and income – the opportunities to be competitive in our evolving economy. I will fight to incentivize students to pursue degrees that will not only prosper our economy, but will also provide a sustainable, high-paying job.
College is still a fantasy to many because of limited class time options that conflict with an individual’s work, family or transportation constraints. I believe we must modernizing the college classroom to include significantly more remote and digital attendance options to allow access to anyone that wishes to better themselves.
We also cannot force college on everyone. I will fight to create alternatives for those that wish to attend trade schools, gain apprenticeships, and follow non-traditional career paths. Everyone deserves the right to be self-sufficient – it will be my job to make sure resources are available to give everyone a fair shot.
